Pedofilernas gömplats

Katolska kyrkan som pedofilernas gömplats...nu senast en Pell i Australien och säkerligen fler på gång. Jag påminns om några rader i The Greening of America om det Charles Reich kallar Consciousness II: "Consciousness II is thus profoundly anti-populist and, in a large sense, anti-democratic. It is no accident that the most succesful Consciousness II individuals surround themselves not with vulgar material display but with the signs of elegant style and taste; it is no accident that they show an impatient, intolerant and disdainful attitude towards individual members of the very groups they are 'trying to help' -- the less intelligent, the ill-educated, and above all the blue-collar 'boob'. For 'reason' has led Consciousness II to believe in an élitist society -- with never a doubt that the standards by which the élite is determined are the correct ones...The absolute worth of each individual is, to Consciousness II a mere religious doctrine, having no application in reality."

När pedofilbiskopen eller prästen börjar planera sin våldtäkt blir barnet, ofta ett osäkert barn, bruksvara och njutningsobjekt för ett sjukt medvetande, inte typiskt för endast en kyrka utan för ett sorts samhälle utan rot i Guds kärlek. Charles Reich skrev sin bok i början av 1970-talet och redan då var pedofila unga präster igång. Den tyske teologen Drewermann varnade för den typiska omogna katolska prästen på väg uppåt i hierarkin. Så här skriver Reich om sådana klättrare inom någon institution: "In one sense he is self-sacrificing, but in another sense his life is dedicated to personal success...Indeed he often seems to keep pushing beyond rational limits; the exterior goals consume the inner ones,and he has little time left for more intimate personal values. He becomes an oppressive person who does not enjoy himself while at work, who does not seem to have any personal distance from the hurdles that have been set for him. In some cases this even leads the individual to unethical or illegal behaviour, which he slips into because it all seems to be part of 'playing the game'."
